Founded by Oscar Brisset, ex-BCG, where he advised Fortune 500 logistics companies on billion-dollar transformations, and Ben Kaye, an Oxford PhD in computer vision, whose last paper was recognized as a highlight at CVPR 2025. YC W26. Currently in talks with DHL in the UK on a contract that could exceed $100K ARR. Today, 80% of small to mid-size warehouses have zero automation, not because of a lack of interest, but because existing systems cannot handle their ever-changing inventory and workflows. Remy is changing that.

About the Role

Remy AI is hiring its first Senior Full Stack Engineer based in Latin America to build the core platform from zero to one. Oscar handles sales, and Ben owns the computer vision and AI models. What they need is a strong software engineer who can own the backend infrastructure, real-time video streaming systems, cloud architecture, and product surfaces end-to-end. This is a founding engineer role in every sense of the word.

Remy has been running on lightweight demo apps through the YC batch. Now they need to build something substantial. There is no existing infrastructure to maintain. You are building it.

Real-time video streaming at the application layer is a genuinely hard engineering problem, not standard web development or a GPT wrapper. You will be working directly with Ben on technically interesting challenges around computer vision deployment, live data pipelines, and scalable infrastructure, at a company with a world-class technical co-founder and serious commercial momentum.

• Build the backend infrastructure and APIs powering real-time video streaming and computer vision software for warehouse deployments
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and modern DevOps practices
• Build and deploy FastAPI-based backend services and React frontend surfaces
• Contribute to the full product lifecycle from architecture decisions through production deployment
• Work directly with Oscar and Ben to scope, build, and ship features quickly as commercial contracts demand
• Build a scalable platform foundation from scratch with no legacy constraints

Requirements

Must-Have

Technical

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, backend heavy with full-stack capability
• Proficiency in Python and FastAPI for backend development
• Experience deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS, comfortable with Terraform and cloud architecture
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments
• React proficiency for frontend development, expected to be a smaller part of the role but required
• Zero to one builder mentality, has built systems from scratch without existing infrastructure to lean on

Execution and Ownership

• High agency and architectural thinking, does not just build what they are told but proposes and drives solutions independently
• Former CTO, founding engineer, or startup builder profile strongly preferred
• Comfortable with a fast output-driven pace, 9am to 9pm weekdays with protected weekends unless a major deadline requires otherwise
• Strong ownership mindset, this is a two-person founding team and the engineer will have significant autonomy and responsibility from day one

Communication

• Excellent written and spoken English at C2 level or equivalent, required for daily collaboration with the US-based founding team
• Proactive in surfacing blockers and proposing solutions

Location

• Based in Latin America, fully remote
• US time zone overlap required for collaboration with the founding team

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with real-time video streaming systems or WebRTC
• Background in computer vision, adjacent infrastructure, deploying AI models, or handling large video data pipelines
• Prior startup or founding engineer experience, ideally as a CTO or first engineer
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain technology
