Location: USA or Canada

Type: Temporary Contract — 3 months

Work Model: Fully Remote

Compensation: $100/hour

Availability: 20+ hours/week, with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST

Start Date: Immediate


About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a cutting-edge AI/LLM project, combining software engineering with data evaluation and quality processes for AI models.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript/Golang, along with hands-on experience with preference data, rubric creation, or data/model evaluation.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, refine, and improve rubrics and evaluation criteria for preference data.
  • Review and evaluate data while maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Build and maintain pipelines and infrastructure supporting data generation, collection, and evaluation.
  • Identify subtle issues and ensure high-quality data.
  • Turn technical findings into clear documentation, recommendations, and updates.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and researchers to turn qualitative judgment into scalable processes.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Python, particularly pipelines and infrastructure, or TypeScript / JavaScript / Golang.
  • Hands-on experience with preference data and/or rubric creation.
  • Experience working with large codebases is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical work clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to quality and detail.
  • Experience at Tier 1 technology companies and/or universities is preferred.
  • LinkedIn profile required and must be included on the resume.

  • Minimum 20 hours/week
