LATAM Senior SAP Project Manager / Senior SAP PMO

Location: São Paulo, Brazil | Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 10–20 Years

Compensation: $4,000–$6,000/month

FitNext Exclusive: No

Company Overview

A fast-growing Series A software company is building the operating system for SAP delivery, the infrastructure layer underneath some of the most complex and expensive IT projects enterprises run.

Its agentic orchestration platform coordinates every phase of SAP transformation while capturing decisions, tests, and context as a byproduct of work already underway, creating organizational memory that compounds across projects.

The company reached more than $3M ARR in 11 months and has raised $21M. Its platform is already deployed with some of the largest SAP integrators in the world.

The team is based across the U.S. and Brazil and includes professionals with backgrounds at leading technology companies, consulting firms, and institutions.

Challenge

This is a Project Management and Change Management role first.

SAP transformations rarely fail because of the software itself; adoption is often the critical challenge. The Senior SAP PM / PMO will own that outcome across major enterprise programs — from deployment planning and organizational change to accountability for whether the platform is actually adopted across countries, functions, and stakeholders with competing priorities.

Deep SAP module expertise is welcome, but the role is primarily built around the ability to drive organizations through change and own delivery outcomes.

There is no playbook to inherit. This person will help build the deployment motion from the ground up while simultaneously executing it across live customer programs, working closely with the Deployment Lead and founding team inside accounts at global SAP integrators.

The role offers international exposure across Brazil, Europe, and the US, with direct influence on product and roadmap decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end change management, including stakeholder mapping, communications, enablement, and adoption tracking.
  • Own project plans, milestones, quality gates, governance, and delivery outcomes across SAP enterprise programs.
  • Translate between SAP delivery teams and C-suite sponsors, working with program leadership at global integrators and the enterprises they serve.
  • Structure and improve SAP PMO processes, templates, governance, and delivery standards.
  • Build the deployment playbook from zero, including templates, quality gates, and onboarding motions.
  • Drive adoption across multi-country, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Provide field feedback to product and engineering teams, helping shape roadmap priorities based on live customer deployments.
  • Apply SAP Activate expertise internally and with customers.
  • Train internal teams on SAP Activate methodology and help diagnose customer pain points.
  • Propose methodology-based alternatives and solutions to deployment challenges.
  • Identify risks to adoption and delivery and proactively address them.
  • Work closely with the Deployment Lead and founding team across major customer programs.

Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management or PMO across multiple SAP enterprise programs.
  • Direct ownership of project plans, quality gates, governance, and delivery outcomes, rather than reporting-only responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of the mandatory deliverables and activities across SAP project phases.
  • Strong experience in Change Management across multi-country and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Working knowledge of Change Management frameworks for SAP projects.
  • Hands-on experience structuring and improving SAP PMO areas, including processes, templates, and governance.
  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA implementation approaches, including Greenfield, Brownfield, and other approaches.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Activate phases and key deliverables.
  • SAP Activate for Project Managers certification.
  • Proven ability to drive outcomes across multiple projects or organizations.
  • Strong client-facing experience presenting to senior stakeholders and C-level executives.
  • Professional English proficiency.
  • High agency and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments without an established playbook.
  • Willingness to work from the São Paulo office 4 days per week.

Nice to Have

  • Background at a Big 4 or major SAP consultancy.
  • Experience implementing early-stage software within enterprise environments.
  • Experience running end-to-end S/4HANA implementations.
  • Founder or entrepreneurial experience.
  • PM certifications such as PMP, PSM, or PRINCE2.
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM and Signavio.
  • Experience with SAP functional modules such as FI, MM, SD, HR, or GRC.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate with C-level audiences.
  • High ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes.
  • Strong project and program management discipline.
  • Strategic and structured approach to change management and adoption.
  • Highly proactive and capable of identifying and solving problems independently.
  • Comfortable navigating complex organizational structures and competing priorities.
  • Comfortable operating without a predefined playbook or established processes.
  • Strong business judgment and customer orientation.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong ability to translate between technical SAP teams and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working closely with founders, leadership, product, and engineering teams.

Benefits

  • $4,000–$6,000 USD/month
  • Contractor (B2B), paid in USD
  • Lunch provided on office days
  • Competitive equity
  • Free coffee
  • Wellness / gym benefit
  • High ownership and impact within a rapidly growing Series A company
