Remote (LATAM), $10–12k/month

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (backend-heavy) based in Latin America to join the founding engineering team and help build the core platform.

This is a staff-level role with strong ownership and a primary focus on backend systems, while still contributing across the full stack when needed. You will work on complex problems involving AI, distributed systems, and financial data, with significant autonomy and impact.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems powering AI-driven workflows
• Design and implement APIs, data pipelines, and ETL processes
• Develop infrastructure for real-time financial operations
• Contribute to full stack features (including frontend when needed)
• Collaborate closely with the founding team on architecture and system design
• Help define engineering standards and best practices
• Own problems end-to-end without narrowly defined scope

Requirements

Technical

• 6–10 years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend expertise (data pipelines, ETL, distributed systems, architecture)
• Experience contributing to frontend (JavaScript, React)
• Ability to operate at a staff-level with high autonomy

Execution & Ownership

• Highly self-directed and proactive
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with an end-to-end mindset

Communication

• Fluent English (C2 or equivalent)
• Clear and direct communication style

Location

• Based in Latin America
• Availability to overlap with US time zones

Nice to Have

• Previous startup experience (especially early-stage or founding engineer roles)
• Experience in fintech, payments, or financial data platforms
• Exposure to AI systems, LLMs, or data infrastructure at scale
