Junior Full-Stack Engineer — Accounting, SaaS Billing & Agentic AI

Location: LATAM - Remote

FitNext Consulting is partnering with an AI-native company to hire a Junior Full-Stack Engineer with practical development skills and a strong understanding of accounting, financial workflows, and SaaS billing.

This role is ideal for an early-career developer with an accounting background or hands-on experience building financial software.

What you’ll do

• Build frontend and backend features supporting accounting, financial operations, and SaaS billing.
• Integrate billing platforms such as Orb, Metronome, Stripe, or similar tools.
• Support subscription and usage-based billing, including usage tracking, pricing, invoicing, and reconciliation.
• Connect applications, billing platforms, and financial systems through APIs and webhooks.
• Build or integrate AI agents to automate financial workflows.
• Test calculations, handle exceptions, and keep financial data accurate and traceable.

Must-haves

• 1–2 years of software engineering experience. This position is exclusively for junior candidates.
• Practical full-stack development skills, including frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial workflows, particularly invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with SaaS billing, including subscriptions, usage-based pricing, and billing infrastructure.
• AI-native working habits: regular use of AI tools and agents to develop software and improve workflows.
• Ability to validate AI-generated code and outputs and translate financial requirements into reliable software.
• An accounting background or relevant experience building financial tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Orb, Metronome, Stripe Billing, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with usage metering, billing adjustments, credits, or failed-payment workflows.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM APIs, or financial workflow automation.
