About the Opportunity

A fast-growing early-stage AI infrastructure startup is hiring a Platform Engineer to help build the backend systems and infrastructure powering next-generation AI agent deployment at scale.

This is a high-ownership role working directly with the founding engineering team to design, ship, and scale critical backend systems, data pipelines, and platform infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Build and own backend systems powering production infrastructure
• Design and maintain ETL workflows and real-time data pipelines
• Architect scalable APIs and customer-specific integrations
• Debug and improve production reliability under real-world load
• Contribute across backend, infrastructure, and frontend when needed
• Collaborate directly with founders on technical architecture decisions
• Improve performance, scalability, and platform resilience
• Extend system components and internal tooling as product needs evolve

Requirements

Required

• 4–7 years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend development experience with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, or similar
• Experience building data pipelines, ETL systems, or production-grade data infrastructure
• Comfortable contributing across the full stack when needed
• Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills
• Experience operating with autonomy in fast-moving startup environments
• Strong written and verbal English communication

Preferred

• Platform engineering or DevOps experience
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems design
• AI / LLM infrastructure experience
• Experience shipping production AI or agentic systems
• Experience working with customer-facing integrations and messy real-world data
